The Conservation Nation Academy has some exciting new lessons in the works!

Our Educational Multimedia Producer, Gabriela Paola Franco Peña, has been busy this fall creating video lessons that will introduce students to the joys of noticing nature through birding.

In collaboration with some amazing birding advocates, we will be releasing two new lessons soon! “Wingin’ It,” co-created with Sam DeJarnett, teaches students that you do not have to be an expert to go outside and start noticing birds. “Birding Beyond the Binary,” a lesson co-created with Tykee James, explores how birds can challenge our assumptions about gender roles and help us appreciate the diversity of nature in a new way.
