Taylor L. Rabe is a Biological Science Technician with the Yellowstone Wolf, Cougar, and Elk Project and serves as Conservation Nation’s Education and Engagement Facilitator. In 2022, she became Conservation Nation’s first Fellow and has since dedicated herself to sharing her passion for wolves and large carnivores with students across the country.
For more than seven years, Taylor has studied gray wolves in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, where her fieldwork sparked a deep commitment to science education and public engagement. In fall 2026, she will begin graduate school, focusing on wolf habituation and the effects of aversive conditioning.
Outside of work, Taylor can be found traveling the world in search of wildlife or spending time in the mountains with her husband and dogs.
Loving Wolves to Death: Yellowstone Wolf Habituation & Aversive Conditioning
Taylor’s work currently focuses on investigating the drivers of increasing wolf habituation in Yellowstone National Park and identifying the most effective aversive conditioning techniques for mitigating and reversing negative wolf behaviors. Throughout her fellowship and continued partnership with Conservation Nation, she has also conducted innovative bioacoustics wolf research and engaged with thousands of youth, inspiring them to increase their love of nature and pursue their conservation dreams.
